From traditional roots music and analog rhythms to the latest dancefloor grooves and digital sounds, we provide an original and authentic taste of global beat culture. DJs Magrelo (Hotplate) & Dudu Sarr (Club Global @ Momo’s) + special guests provide you with this Intercontinental soundtrack. The Hotplate sound is all about good quality music for the ears and the feet and a destination for clubbers, DJs, artists, promoters and music heads.

DJ Magrelo has been a regular DJ at the monthly Future World Funk at the Notting Hill Arts Club, playing at the Lake Of Stars festival in Malawi and at various Global Beat events in the UK. As resident DJ at Momo’s Kemia Bar and festivals worldwide, Dudu Sarr was behind the fantastic AFRICA REMIX compilation cd and exhibition at the Hayward Gallery. His record label Motherland Music has also been set up to find and nurture the hottest new talent from Africa.

Hotplate is spreading its vibe amongst London venues like the Notting Hill Arts Club, The Double Club, Momo’s Kemia Bar, the Africa Centre, Big Chill Bar, RICHMIX, Brixton Jamm, Vibe Bar, IndigO2 and the Salmon & Compass.
